Privacy Policy — TruLine Inspection Services
Effective Date: August 6, 2026
TruLine Inspection Services LLC ("TruLine," "we," "us") operates trulineinspections.com and uses third-party platforms including Spectora and Stripe to schedule and process inspection bookings. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a California resident under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Information We Collect
Name, phone number, email address, and property address submitted through our contact form or booking system; payment information processed through Stripe (we do not store payment card data directly); and general usage data collected through standard web analytics.
How We Use It
To schedule and confirm inspections, to deliver your inspection report, to follow up after your inspection, to respond to questions submitted through our contact form, and to send review requests after your inspection is complete.
We Do Not Sell Your Data
TruLine does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your California Rights (CCPA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used; the right to request deletion of personal information we hold; and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information). To exercise these rights contact us at BusinessOffice@trulineinspections.com.
TruLine Virtual Assistant Chats (Notice of No Recording)
TruLine provides an automated virtual assistant that real estate agents can place on listing flyers, yard signs, QR codes, and websites. Before a visitor can send a message, the assistant displays a prominent notice and requires the visitor to agree to it. That notice states, and this policy confirms, that:
- Chats are not recorded. We do not store message text, transcripts, audio, or any record of what a visitor typed, and we do not use conversation content for advertising or resale.
- We store only anonymized usage counts — number of messages, a general question category, language selected, time of day, and a one-way hashed session identifier that cannot be reversed to identify a person or device.
- The assistant instructs visitors not to submit personal or financial information and refers anyone ready to move forward to the listing agent or to our scheduling link.
We provide this notice and obtain agreement at the start of every chat so that no conversation is monitored or recorded without the participant's knowledge and consent, consistent with California's invasion-of-privacy laws (California Penal Code §§ 630 et seq., the California Invasion of Privacy Act). If you do not agree with the notice, simply close the assistant without sending a message.
Contact Requests and Lead Information (CCPA Roles)
When you contact us through our website form, our booking system, our realtor partner sign-up, or by asking a virtual assistant to connect you with someone, you may provide personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, and a property address. We use that information only to respond to you, schedule and deliver inspection services, and administer virtual assistant accounts.
For the purposes of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA):
- TruLine acts as a "business" for information you submit directly to TruLine — inspection bookings, our contact form, realtor partner sign-ups, and virtual assistant account records.
- TruLine acts as a "service provider" to the real estate agent or brokerage when it operates a virtual assistant on that agent's listing. In that role, TruLine processes information only to provide the assistant on the agent's behalf under written terms, and does not sell it or use it for its own separate purposes. The agent or brokerage is the "business" for their own client relationships and their own follow-up records.
- We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Our vendors — including Spectora (scheduling and reports), Stripe (payments), and our hosting, email, and AI processing providers — receive information only as needed to perform services for us under contractual limits.
Data Retention
TruLine does not store visitor chat message content or transcripts from the Listing Assistant. We retain only de-identified, aggregate usage counts, which are deleted 180 days after they are recorded. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes affecting data retention will be posted on this page with an updated “Effective Date” above.
Third-Party Platforms
Our booking and payment systems are provided by Spectora and Stripe. Their respective privacy policies govern how they handle your data.
