1. Services
TruLine Inspection Services ("TruLine") will configure an automated virtual assistant chat experience, a hosted link, and a QR code for the business you submit. The assistant is a customer-service and information tool only. TruLine does not answer telephone calls, dispatch technicians, perform your trade work, or act as your agent.
2. Not professional, legal, insurance, or trade advice
The assistant does not provide legal, insurance, claims, financial, tax, medical, engineering, or licensed-trade advice, and does not provide binding estimates, quotes, diagnoses, or scopes of work. Responses are generated by automated software, may be incomplete or inaccurate, and must not be relied upon in place of a licensed professional. Sensitive or high-stakes questions are handed off to you or your designated contact rather than answered by the assistant.
3. Your responsibility for content, licensing, and advertising compliance
You represent that you hold every license, registration, bond, and insurance required for the services you advertise, and that all business information you provide is accurate and lawful to publish. You are solely responsible for including any license number or disclosure your profession requires in advertising — including California Business and Professions Code § 7027.1 for contractors, and the license and disclosure rules applicable to public adjusters, insurance producers, and other regulated professions. You agree not to instruct TruLine to configure guarantees of outcome, price promises, claim-value predictions, or discriminatory content, and you will review your assistant's answers before publishing your link or QR code.
4. Customer communications, recording, and privacy
TruLine’s Trade Services virtual assistant (“the Assistant”) is an automated system, not a live representative. When you interact with the Assistant, we may collect the information you provide during the conversation, including your name, contact information, and the nature of your inquiry. The Assistant does not retain the content of individual chat conversations; interactions are logged only in anonymized, aggregate form for service-quality purposes.
Business account information (business name, contact email, contact phone number, service area, and assistant configuration settings) is retained for the duration of your subscription and as required to provide the Service.
Use of the Assistant is also subject to our Privacy Policy, available at Privacy Policy, which governs the collection, use, and retention of personal information in greater detail. TruLine discloses that this Assistant is an automated system and not a live representative, consistent with applicable transparency best practices for automated online interactions.
4a. Scope of the Assistant
The Assistant is provided for general informational purposes only. It is designed to answer routine questions about your business (such as hours, service area, and general process) and to route inquiries that require professional judgment directly to you or your designated contact. The Assistant does not provide project-specific estimates, quotes, bids, or scopes of work, and no communication with the Assistant shall be construed as an offer, acceptance, or term of any home improvement contract. Nothing in an Assistant conversation modifies, supersedes, or forms part of any agreement between you and your customers. Use of the Assistant is subject to California Business & Professions Code § 7027.1 regarding contractor license disclosure in advertising.
4b. Your compliance obligations for leads and contacts
You are responsible for compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (47 U.S.C. § 227), the CAN-SPAM Act, and California's CCPA/CPRA (Civ. Code § 1798.100 et seq.) with respect to leads and contacts you receive through the Assistant. Each conversation begins with a notice-and-consent screen the visitor must accept before sending a message, consistent with the California Invasion of Privacy Act (Penal Code §§ 630 et seq.). For CCPA purposes, TruLine acts as your service provider when operating the Assistant and as a business for the account information you submit to us; you remain the business for your own customer records. TruLine also voluntarily discloses that the Assistant is automated software rather than a person as a matter of good practice; that disclosure is not made in reliance on any statute that applies only to large online platforms.
5. Fees, billing, and cancellation
Trade Services requires a one-time setup fee of $75, which includes your first month of service, followed by a recurring monthly fee of $19, billed automatically until cancelled. Fees are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy, available at Refund Policy. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period, and no partial-month refunds will be issued.
5a. Failed payments; statutory rights
If a monthly payment fails, TruLine may send a reminder and may pause your assistant until payment is resolved; paused assistants can be reactivated without a new setup fee. You may cancel future billing at any time by emailing BusinessOffice@trulineinspections.com. Nothing in this agreement waives rights you may have under the California Consumers Legal Remedies Act (Civ. Code § 1750 et seq.); such rights cannot be waived.
6. Electronic records and signature
By typing your name below you consent to transact electronically and agree that your electronic signature is legally binding under the federal E-SIGN Act (15 U.S.C. § 7001) and the California Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (Civ. Code § 1633.1 et seq.). You may request a paper copy of this agreement at any time.
7. Limitation of liability; indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TruLine's total liability arising out of the assistant is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. TruLine is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost calls, lost leads, or lost business. You agree to indemnify TruLine against claims arising from content you supply, from your licensed work, or from your use of leads generated by the assistant. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited under California law.
8. Governing law and disputes
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Venue for any dispute lies in the state or federal courts located in Kern County, California. Service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the extent permitted by law.
